Pure-Rest's wood foundations are built using sturdy, thick, hard wood. To construct these foundations a wood frame (usually pine; or could be fir or spruce) is covered with a layer of organic muslin fabric on top and bottom to provide airflow to control moisture. The sides are quilted to match Pure-Rest's latex mattresses, using pure, organically processed wool from organically raised sheep and organic cotton. The foundation has 13 to 15 wood slats that are 3/4" thick, 2.25" wide, spaced 2.25-2.5" apart, making the foundation sturdy and strong enough to support a heavy latex mattress.

  • Wool is from Northern California, Oregon, and Washington. Wood is from North America.
  • Manufacturer's warranty: 10-year fixed, 20-year prorated.
  • Shipped direct from the factory by common carrier.
  • 9-inch foundations are available for an additional charge. This size is a special-order and typically takes 3 to 4 weeks to complete. Please contact us for 9" foundation cost, shipping, and to order.
  • Wool-free (vegan) foundations are available with a doctor's note stating that wool is not recommended for the patient, and a note from the buyer stating that you recognize this style does not have flame retardant properties.
  • Shipping is curbside delivery by common carrier. To see shipping cost, click the "buy" link at the bottom of the price table. Shipping cost will be added before check-out.

Pure-Rest mattresses and foundations are usually shipped in 1 to 3 weeks.
