Dapwood solid wood platform beds are built with a strong, slatted wood platform to support heavy latex mattresses while still providing adequate ventilation. Standard slat spacing is 3 inches. Spacing of 1.5″ and .25″ are also available.
Dapwood’s Dream Weaver beds have 3.25” rails and crosspieces and are available in oak and maple. Their Dream Catcher beds have 4.5” rails and crosspieces and are available in oak, maple, cherry and walnut.
Most beds are designed to fit 9- to 11-inch mattresses, but headboard and platform height can be modified for different needs. For customization options see individual bed pages (click on photos below) or contact us for assistance.
Available finishes include linseed oil (Tried & True Danish Oil), teak oil, vegetable-based stains (natural color pigment suspended in linseed oil, available on oak only), or beds can be left unfinished.
Normal production time is three weeks, and rush service (5 or 10 workdays) is usually available. NOTE: Rush options may not be available at all times, for example: the month of December due to the holiday rush and closures, and sometimes during summer months due to vacations.
Made in the USA of sustainably harvested wood. Please note that real wood has knots and/or imperfections; much furniture on the market today is veneered to give the illusion of perfection. See details about furniture made of real wood.
To keep prices reasonable and reduce the chance of damage in-transit, Dapwood beds are shipped in cartons and require some assembly upon receipt, using simple tools such as a rubber mallet and screwdriver. See video of bed assembly. Their nightstands, bedside tables, and bookshelves also require some assembly.
FREE SHIPPING on most beds by FedEx Ground in the lower 48 states from the Dapwood factory in New Mexico. Contact us for a shipping quote to Alaska, Hawaii or Canada.
Dapwood furniture is made to order and is not returnable.
