The Go Berkey® kit contains a small stainless steel (AISI 304) portable water purifier and a Sport Berkey® filtered water bottle. To use the Go Berkey® stainless steel water purifier, simply pour untreated water into the top chamber, which contains a Black Berkey® Purification Element, and the water will be purified as gravity pulls it into the bottom chamber. To use the Sport Berkey® bottle, just fill it with water and use the built-in straw to drink the filtered water. Both of these units enable you to drink from virtually any water source, and are ideal for outdoor recreation, camping, hiking, traveling, and emergency preparedness, as well as everyday use.
Black Berkey® Purification Elements are classified as water purifiers because they reduce or remove up to 99.9999999% of pathogenic bacteria and up to 99.999% of viruses. They are equipped to also remove or dramatically reduce toxic chemicals, heavy metals, volatile organic compounds, trihalomethanes, detergents, pesticides, herbicides, chlorides, pharmaceuticals, petroleum-based products, unpleasant tastes, odors, silt, sediment and chlorine. see full list of contaminants removed
The full-size Black Berkey® purification element in the Go Berkey® provides up to 3,000 gallons of sparkling clean water. The lower stainless steel chamber holds one quart of purified water; flow rate is up to one gallon per hour. Dimensions: 4″ diameter x 14″ height; weight: 2.4 lbs. (empty).
