Made in the USA with a GOTS-certified organic sateen fabric outer filled with wool grown on small farms in the Midwest. Each farm is carefully vetted to make sure it uses no synthetic hormones, genetic engineering, synthetic pesticides (internal, external, and on pastures); and that the farmers ensure the health of their sheep through good culture and management practices. The wool is as clean as organic without asking these small farms to pay the high cost of certification. The wool batting starts out very soft and lofty; sleeping on it will compress the topper to about 2/3 of its original height. For uniform compression and reduced body impressions occasionally rotate the topper to sleep on it sideways, and also flip it occasionally. While the feel will change from cloud-like to smooth after a few months, you will still feel the cushioning layer beneath you and the tufts will go completely unnoticed.
