Natural wool carpeting from Earth Weave, Nature’s Carpet “Dark Green” line, and Whitfield’s Pure Nature collection is non-toxic and 100% chemical-free. These carpets are soft, durable and naturally stain resistant, and are great for babies and children who crawl and play on the floor. They are eco-friendly, sustainable and recyclable. Most wool carpet on the market today is made with toxic chemical adhesives like SBR () and dyes, synthetic backing, and have pesticides applied, even those promoted as eco-friendly or sustainably sourced. Earth Weave, Nature’s Carpet Dark Green line and Whitfield’s Pure Nature collection are the only carpets we have found that are truly non-toxic. 10/20/25 – NEW lower prices on Whitfield carpet!
8/25/25 – Nature’s Carpet “Dark Green” styles are being transitioned to an SBR-free adhesive called Ceneva. This product is made from (vinegar), and is ultra-low-VOC and more durable than the natural rubber adhesive they previously used. These carpets and rugs are extensively tested and certified for low-VOC emissions, odors and chemicals. Read more about Ceneva. Some current inventory was made with natural rubber and some with Ceneva. If you would like to check which is available, contact us with the style and color you are considering.
