Inside the GOTS-certified organic cotton sateen cover of this wonderful comforter, is wool grown on small farms in the Midwest USA. Each farm is carefully vetted to make sure they use no synthetic hormones, genetic engineering, synthetic pesticides (internal, external, and on pastures); and that they ensure the health of their sheep through good culture and management practices. Most of the farmers cut their own hay from their untreated grass for the winter months, thus ensuring their feed is as natural as can be. This wool is as clean as organic, without asking the small farms to pay the high cost of certification. Spot clean only.
